A large part of our curriculum includes working with nature and cultivating an appreciation for the natural world in a direct way. Our garden program is an excellent resource for students. When they arrive in the fall, they are involved in harvesting and storing vegetables. In the spring, they help plant the garden crop that the next year’s students will harvest in the fall. The garden program also includes raising and caring for chickens and goats. Students have opportunities to work in the garden through elective classes, work projects and special all-school projects.
